New York Rangers...

Sorry, this post is more of a complaint. For all of you who know me, know that I am a New York Rangers fan. Here's my rant: they fire their head coach because their season has gone downhill (from being first in the standings for 2 1/2 months, to fighting to stay alive to have a place in the playoffs). They hire a new coach and they still are playing stinky...and lost both games under the new coach!! Come on now! 2-8-4 in their last 14 games...ugh!

Am I crazy?

I found this website http://www.cardsandpockets.com/ for D.I.Y. invitations. I thought that I would want to do this to keep down the cost. I ordered a sample packet of the colors and style that I thought I would like today, so we'll see how easy it is to make. I was trying to figure out the math and the invitations work out to be $2.00 per invite...not too shabby huh? I'll keep you updated on the status of the invitations.

Interesting Observation...

Since Monday I have been subbing in my friend's 6th grade Language Arts class (and this will continue until next Wednesday).  It's amazing how much more kids are aware of today versus when I was in 6th grade.  Maybe I was just oblivious at that age, but some of the things that come out of their mouths are amazing!  Many of them have difficulty reading, writing, and completing math calculations, but start a conversation about boys/girls, Facebook, celebrity lives and they could go on forever.  In Religion, the conversation was about Lent and how people give something up during this time and immediately one of the girls chimed in with a story about how some people are giving up Facebook for Lent.  Now I can't lie, I do check my Facebook everyday, but I'm not obsessed with it.  If today is so much different than when I was in 6th grade, imagine how the world is going to be 10 years from now!  Anyways, I could go on and on with stories about the students, but I'll save some for the days to come (check back tomorrow for another story).

The first blog!

Hi Everyone! This is my first post of the blog. I'm starting this on a whim...to keep you updated on Wedding Plans and the daily ongoings in our household (Richie, Riley, and I). Check back occasionally for pictures and more updates. We'll see how long I can do this for!

<-- here is our first house! We closed December 26th and moved in that weekend. It's been an adjustment, but it's been good for us.

<---This is Riley, our Puggle puppy. She is now about 6 months old and is a little terror! She's fun to have around---until she wakes us up at 4:00 am!
**As for the wedding, we have 167 days (not that I am counting). Save-the-dates went out last week and we picked out the cake yesterday. Really all that we have to discuss are the flowers and then it's just little details. I felt like I was slacking so badly because of Grad school, but now that I am done with classes I have been focusing more on the wedding. Oh--Bridesmaid dresses are picked out, as well as the flower girl dress so those just need to be ordered.
Here's to the first post on the blog! I'm off to make dinner...well watch dinner in the oven.
