Painting!!!

So it was Friday Paint Day at our house today. We didn't completely finish putting everything back in place, but the painting portion is complete. Below are the color choices we made; orange for the family room and red for above the fireplace in the living room. Now normally, I am a very brown, tan, neutral paint color person, but I have to say that I really like how the colors turned out!

...again we are waiting to put the mirror back up b/c the paint is still tacky!

It was thick paint, kinda went on like glue...and we needed 2 coats to make it even!

This is what Riley did all day. Amazingly there was minimal whining from the baby, but she was very happy when we came to the kitchen to say hello! She was so good that we added something special to her food tonite...left over minestrone soup broth and veggies. She was a very happy puppy! :-)

Happy Birthday Moie!

Tuesday, February 9th was my grandmother's 84th birthday. We celebrated on Saturday night by going out to dinner at the Olive Garden. Then on Sunday, my family came up to our house to watch the Super Bowl. During halftime, we surprised my grandmother with her favorite cake (chocolate cake with real whipped cream) and of course cards (her favorite gift).
